A book for mother and daughter, June 16, 2014
This novel is set in Sydney Australia between the two world wars. The female protagonist is a feisty 15 year old Irish girl who has been crippled by polio. It is a good read for both teenagers and adults with the characters and the times well drawn and interesting. I had not heard anything about the book but took a punt on it and was glad I did.
