It’s been months since I’ve posted; mainly because I’ve been at hammer and tongs finishing By Violence Unavenged.
Now, quite frankly, I’m terrified. Terrified the new book is going to flop. Terrified at coming out of my shell to peddle my wares. Terrified of deadlines. Terrified of writing Volume Two, Outside Heaven’s Sway. Terrified of my ignorance. For, if there’s one thing writing teaches you, it’s how little you know.
And I’m tired. Tired of words. Tired of working hard for next to nothing. Tired of juggling priorities, emotions, thoughts, ideas. Tired of research. Tired of sitting on my backside.
It’s time for a break. Christmas. Family time. Summer.
Then, ad astra per aspera. Back to it.
What I’m reading:
Robert Gildea, Marianne in Chains
Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Christo
Dante, The Divine Comedy
And I’m looking forward to some interesting books under the tree.
What I’m writing:
Working broadly over the next two volumes, Outside Heaven’s Sway and A Balanced Wheel.
Working in detail on the opening chapters of Outside Heaven’s Sway.
What I’m playing:
Piano: Mozart, Sonata in B Flat Major, K.333
Violin: Lots of Fritz Kreisler
